Pedrorena, Miguel de.

Miguel de Pedrorena (c.1808-1850), a native of Spain who had been educated in London, arrived in San Diego in 1845. He owned the Cajon Rancho and San Jacinto Nuevo Rancho, in addition to other land throughout San Diego. He supported the United States in the Mexican-American War and served as a cavalry captain, and was U.S. customs collector from 1847-1848.
